The Reactive Power Compensation Cabinet, as a key device in the power system for improving power factor and optimizing power quality, plays an indispensable role in ensuring the efficient and stable operation of the power system. Its design is closely centered around the actual needs of the power system, and through a series of scientific and reasonable technical means, it achieves precise control of reactive power.
 
Working Principle
In an alternating current (AC) power system, inductive loads cause the current to lag behind the voltage, resulting in a reduced power factor. The reactive compensation cabinet takes advantage of the complementary characteristics of capacitors and inductors. It injects capacitive reactive power through the internal capacitor bank to offset the reactive power consumed by inductive loads, thereby enhancing the power factor.

Structural Composition
- Core Components: The capacitor bank composed of self-healing metallized film capacitors serves as the core, generating capacitive reactive power. The reactor suppresses harmonics and limits inrush current, ensuring the safety of the equipment.
- Intelligent Control: Switching devices (contactors, composite switches, thyristor switches) enable flexible switching of the capacitor bank. The controller continuously monitors parameters such as voltage and current, and precisely controls the switching actions according to preset strategies. It also has functions of data display and fault alarm.
- Safety Assurance: Equipped with multiple protection devices, including overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, and temperature protection, to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

Normal Service Condition
- Temperature range: -5°C to +40°C, with the average temperature not exceeding +35°C
- Altitude: below 2000m (high-altitude products can be customized)
- Humidity: not exceeding 90% (at 20°C), and not exceeding 50% at the highest temperature of +40°C.
The inclination of the equipment during installation with respect to the vertical plane should not exceed 5 degrees; the equipment should be installed in places without severe vibrations and impacts, and where electrical components will not be subject to corrosion.
- In cases where the user has special requirements, they can negotiate with the manufacturer for a solution.
